Teens injured as vehicle overturns on its roof

A rural Viroqua teenager’s vehicle overturned  March 24 as it crashed northeast of Viroqua.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office,  Michael Krueger, 19,  was driving west on Cherry Grove Road east of Orchard Road when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the road, overturned and came to rest on its roof in a snow bank.

Krueger and his passenger, Angelica Rivera, 16, of Westby, suffered minor injuries and sought medical treatment at Vernon Memorial Healthcare on their own.

Krueger was wearing a seat belt, Rivera was not.
