Turkey Ridge Organic Orchard celebrates 30 years
TROO

GAYS MILLS - The general public is invited to join the owners and staff of Turkey Ridge Organic Orchard as they take a walk through the past, present, and future of the farm. Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to meet and listen to familiar and unfamiliar folks who have helped make this dream a reality.

The orchard has an exciting day planned, with fun for all ages. The evening will start with presentations and a panel of past and present stewards of the orchard. Panel members will take questions from the audience. Once curiosities have been satisfied, it will be time to eat, drink, and be merry.

Andreas Transo will be on hand to entertain with his Irish folk songs and stories. The Orchard will also have local legends, The Freaks of Nature, sharing their music. The Driftless Fire Tribe has acts of daring and delight with fire, all set to live music. The Freaks of Nature will take the stage again to help everyone dance the night away, and finish out the evening.

Kids are welcome and bounce houses and games will be open until dark. Once the sun is setting, a bonfire will be lit with s'more supplies available. Festivities will continue rain or shine (indoor stage). Free for all, but donations welcome. Food will be vegan/ gluten free/ meat eater/ vegetarian friendly and all organic.

The Orchard wants to thank Richard and Beverly Gainer, the Bedessem family, Bob and Kay Johnson and family, The Midwest Organic Fruit Growers Co-op, the apple trees, and Greg & Faye Welsh for keeping Turkey Ridge Organic Orchard alive for all these years. "In our work we will learn and teach the ways of nature" We hope to see you there!
