Bernard D. Worthington, 80, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hillsboro.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1935 to Archie Miles and Vernie Ann (Frye) Worthington in the Hillsboro area.  Bernard married Mary Lawrenson. Together they had one daughter, Lois Taylor.  He later was united in marriage to Loretta Rae Miller.  She preceded him in death on Jan. 25, 2010.

He is survived by his daughter, Lois; four stepchildren and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death in by his wife; his parents; his sisters, Bessie Cole and Eva Bliss; brothers, Berlie Worthington, Marvin Worthington, and three infant brothers; one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law.

A Funeral Service was held on Sat., Nov. 7, 2015, 11  a.m. at Hillsboro Wesleyan Church, 1020 High Ave., Hillsboro. Pastor Roger Miller officiated.  Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Township of Forest.  Relatives and friends were invited to call on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
