Christopher J. Shaker, age 34 years, of rural Elroy, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hillsboro, Wis.

He was born on Aug. 22, 1979 to William and Marita (Onsager) Shaker in Hillsboro.  He grew to adulthood on the family farm and graduated from the Royall High School in 1998.

Christopher continued working on the family farm.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the Wisconsin sports teams – Packers, Brewers and Badgers along with turkey and deer hunting.

Survivors include his parents, Bill and Marita of rural Elroy; brothers, Chad of LaCrosse, Timothy (Stacy) of Sparta and Patrick (Nikki) of Denver; and a nephew, Alexander.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating.   Inurnment was in the St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery in Union Center.  Friends called at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m.  For online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
