Dale L. Dobson, 82, Platteville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 1 at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, after a long and heroic battle with multiple medical complications.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Rev. James Mehltretter officiated. Burial was at the Lima Union Cemetery, where military rites were accorded by VFW Post #5274 and American Legion Post #42. Visitation was from 5–7 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Dale L. Dobson Memorial Fund.
