PLATTEVILLE – David P. Holmes, age 71, of Platteville, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family and precious dog, Jazzy.

In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.  Cremation will be followed with military honors at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.  A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, June 23, from 2 until 4 p.m. at The Back Bar of Pizzeria Uno in Platteville, with special music by The Wundo Band.  In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be given to Grant County Hospice (111 South Jefferson St., Lancaster, Wis. 53813).  The Martin Schwartz Funeral Home and Crematory in Platteville is entrusted with his services.
