Dorothy M. “Dot” Kies, 84, Kieler, passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, following a brief illness, with her family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler, with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 3–7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, where the parish rosary was recited at 2:45 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:30–10:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.

The Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a Dorothy M. “Dot” Kies Memorial Fund has been established. Online condolences maybe left for the family at www.millerfhed.com.
