Frederick E. Knowles, Sr., Lancaster, died unexpectedly on Christmas morning, Dec. 25.

Funeral services were at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Rev. Jeffrey Pedersen officiated. Visitation was from 4 p.m. until the time of the services on Monday. Interment with military rites was at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at River Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 1650 South River St., Batavia, IL. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
