Janet E. Bergum, age 64 of Monroe, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.   She was born Sept. 21, 1952 in Dodgeville, the daughter of Stanley Laverne and Dorothy O. (Olson) Mosley. Janet graduated from Darlington High School in 1970. She was united in marriage to Terry Bergum on May 6, 1991 in Las Vegas, Nev. Janet grew up in Darlington, but then lived in the Argyle, Woodford, and South Wayne areas while working at Advance Transformer in Monroe.   In 1990, she moved to Wheat Ridge, CO. She began working at Sartorius Balances and Scales in Arvada, Co. where she became the shipping supervisor. She retired in 2012 and returned to Monroe in 2014.
Janet is survived by her husband: Terry; her mother: Dorothy Mosley of Darlington; three children: Dennis (Julie) Flannery of Argyle, Steve (Corrie) Flannery of Brodhead, Jason Flannery of Mills, Wyo., five grandchildren: Cody (Lindsay) Proctor, Tim Proctor, Travis Flannery, Tyler and Brady Flannery; three great-grandchildren: Kaydon Proctor, Braxtyn and Zoey Proctor; one brother: Randy (Mary Guthrie) Mosley of Darlington; one sister: Connie Weber of Monroe; one sister-in-law: Mary Mosley of Lamont, many nieces, nephews and friends from both Wis. and Colo.  She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Gary Mosley.
She loved spending time with her family, being outdoors working in the yard and garden and crocheting.  She had a great sense of humor and a smile that her family and friends will never forget.   All though she lived in Colorado for 25 years she stayed loyal to her all time favorite Green Bay Packers.   Janet cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will stay with them forever.  Janet attended our Savior’s  Lutheran Church in South Wayne.
A Public Gathering was held Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in South Wayne (407 East Center Street).  For those who prefer, a memorial fund has been established in Janet’s name.
