Jay Schwartz, age 33 of Darlington, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.  He was born on Feb. 25, 1980 in Monroe, to Beth Prine and Mike Schwartz.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 104 E. Harriet Street, Darlington, with Fr. John Bosco Pudhota officiating.  Burial followed at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.  Everyone was invited to bring their Ranger to the funeral for the procession as Jay was honored with one last Ranger ride.  A luncheon at the Darlington Fire House followed the burial.  Visitation was from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
