Kathleen C. Bennett, age 92, of Shullsburg, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, Iowa. She was born June 4, 1922 in Shullsburg the daughter of Elmer and Mary (O’Neill) Curran. Kathleen graduated from Shullsburg High School. She was united in marriage to Mertin W. Bennett on September 18, 1965 at Durward’s Glen Retreat and Conference Center in Baraboo. Kathleen lived in Rockford, Ill., Houston, Tex., Dodgeville, and Wauwatosa, before returning to Shullsburg in 1977.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 344 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Joji Reddy officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery in rural Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Shullsburg and Friday, June 20, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
