A funeral service was held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Darlington where Rev. Kate Kieckhafer of Grace Lutheran Church in Darlington and Rev. Nick J. McElrath of First Baptist Church in Darlington co-officiated. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery. A visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in LaVon’s name.
