Lawrence D. “Larry” Lutes, 84, of Shullsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, at home. Larry was born on July 6, 1930, in New Diggings, the son of Earl D. and Evangeline “Vangie” (Anderson) Lutes.

Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Primitive Methodist Church in New Diggings, with Rev. Lee Smith and Rev. Bill Vasey officiating.  Burial was in Shawnee Cemetery with military rites accorded.  Friends called from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Benton and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church before the service.
