Linda F. (Adams) Murphy, "The Nurse", of Menomonee Falls, age 71 years, found eternal peace on Monday, August 27, 2012 with her family she loved at her side. She is the beloved wife of 50 years to James G. Murphy. Devoted mother of David (Karen), Vincent (Nancy), Maureen (Joseph) Balistreri and Paula (Paul) Bullis. Proud grandmother of Christian and David (Laura) Kligora, Anna, Nina, Brenna, Meghan, Connor, Ryan, Alexa, Anthony and Jack. Dear great grandmother of Jazmine and Izabella. Loving sister of Mona (William) Heister. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends, especially Margaret and Judy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orval J. Adams; her mother, Evelyn Adams-Baker (Anderson); her stepfather William Baker; her brother Jerome Adams; her sister Arlee Olson (Adams), and a brother who died in infancy. She kept them all close in her heart throughout her life.

A Memorial Mass was celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls. Visitation was held Tuesday September 4 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and Wednesday at 10 a.m. until time of the Memorial Mass.

Burial was held Thursday Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. at Utica Lutheran Church.

Linda was born July 17,1941 and raised in Mt. Sterling. She realized a lifelong ambition to become a Register Nurse upon graduating as valedictorian of her class at the Milwaukee County General Hospital School of Nursing in 1976. She was a dedicated Registered Nurse for 22 years at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee and was greatly respected by those she worked with. Known to loved ones as "The Nurse", she was a kind, tireless and nurturing soul to all those that shared her life.
