Merl Thomasson, age 85, of Shullsburg, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville. He was born Sept. 25, 1928 in Warren, Ill., the son of Alpha and Blanche (Musser) Thomasson.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church, 226 West Church Street in Shullsburg with Rev. Jeffrey A. Meyer officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Shullsburg where military rites were accorded by McCann-Richards American Legion Post #105 of Shullsburg. A visitation was held Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at O’Flahrity-Erickson Funeral Home, 235 North Judgement Street in Shullsburg.
