Michael “Slick” J. Laufenberg, age 76, Montfort, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home in rural Montfort.  A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 16, 2024, at the Montfort United Methodist Church. A visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of service, at church. 

Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort is assisting the family. In lieu of plants and flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to the UW Health Transplant Center, National Kidney Foundation, or American Heart Association.
