Ted Gordon Heiser, 73, of Vernon Hills, Ill., passed away on May 1.

A memorial service will be held at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home in Libertyville, Ill., on Saturday, May 14.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, with a memorial service beginning at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ted G. Heiser Foundation, which will provide scholarships to journalism students graduating from Glenbrook South High School, where Ted taught for 29 years. Donations may be sent to 492 Chesterfield Lane, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.
