Thelma E. Libansky, age 97 years, of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wis.

She was born on July 27, 1916 to Edward and Anna Stacia (Novy) Levy on Fox Ridge in the Town of Greenwood, Vernon County, Wis.  She attended the Peterson School.  Thelma was united in marriage to Edward Libansky on Jan. 16, 1933 in Hillsboro.  They farmed for many years in the Mount Tabor, Richland Center and Hillsboro areas.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2000.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly (Douglas) Bingham of Mercer; son-in-law, Arnold Novy of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Dennis, Cheryl and Terri Novy and Tim Christianson; two step grandchildren, Leah Alvarado and Amber Milonas; two great grandchildren, Erica and Brian; and a great great grandson, Bridger.

In addition to her husband, Edward; she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Delores Novy; great granddaughter, Heather Novy; sister, Sophie Kouba and two brothers, Adolph and Tony Levy.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev.
