Wendell I. Bennett, 89, of Platteville died on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Private family graveside services were held at Greenwood Cemetery in Platteville. Rev. Jeff Pedersen officiated. Graveside military rites were accorded by American Legion Post #42 and VFW Post #5274. A public visitation was held from 10–11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory in Platteville. Memorials may be made to the Wendell I. Bennett Memorial Fund, P.O.
