CINCINNATI – Darlington native Alex Erickson had another fine preseason outing for the Cincinnati Bengals, however the team as a whole struggled to a 30-12 loss to Kansas City at Paul Brown Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 19.
Erickson, a 6’0” 195-lbs. wide receiver/returner, tied for the team lead with three catches and finished second on the team with 43 yards, including a 31-yard reception late in the first half that set up a field goal which cut the Bengals’ deficit to 16-9 at halftime.
Erickson also had a 39-yard kickoff return which started eight yards deep in the end zone, and had two punt returns for five yards in the game
Cincinnati head to Washington for their third preseason game on Sunday, Aug. 27. The game will be nationally televised by FOX. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. CST.
