Fuschino earns 100th win as Pioneer coach

UWPlattevilles Enzo Fuschino collected his 100th career victory Sunday afternoon as his Pioneers defeated visiting MinnesotaMorris 31.

PLATTEVILLE — The UW–Platteville men’s soccer team defeated Minnesota–Morris 3–1 Sunday afternoon at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

With the win, head coach Enzo Fuschino collected his 100th career win. Fuschino took over for the Pioneers in 2007.

Freshman defender Jake Stevens scored an unassisted goal at the 31-minute mark of the first half. Minnesota–Morris was able to tie the game minutes later.

Senior defensemen Will Pretto broke the tie, scoring off a header early in the second half. Sophomore midfielder Brad Strobel was credited with the assist.

Sophomore midfielder Logan Rinderknecht was listed seventh in the nation for goals (10) coming into Sunday’s game, according to NCAA III statistics. Rinderknecht increased his total to 11 goals this season, this one was tapped in off a free kick from sophomore midfielder Nick Hoklas.

The Pioneers (8–2) return to action Wednesday at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
