WBCA DIVISION 5 GIRLS BASKETBALL ALL-STAR GAME: South 74, North 62 
WISCONSIN DELLS – Plenty of local talent was showcased at this year’s Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) boys’ and girls’ All-Star games held at the JustAGame Fieldhouse last Friday and Saturday, Jun.

The WBCA All-Star games are an annual event to help raise money for the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes against Childhood Cancer). To date, the WBCA has raised over $2.8 million for the MACC Fund.

The festivities kicked off last Friday with the Division 5 girls’ All-Star game, which saw River Ridge’s Taylor Langmeier and Potosi’s Amber Udelhoven representing the D5 South squad.

Langmeier, who was a first-team all-conference selection in the Six Rivers West, averaged 16.5 points per game last season, and a team-high 7.2 rebounds, to go along with 2.7 steals and 1.5 assists per contest.

Udelhoven was a second-team all-conference selection from the Six Rivers West, and in her senior season averaged a team-high 12.7 points per contest, to go along with 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and a team-high 3.3 steals per game.

After taking a 52-47 lead into the fourth quarter, it was the D5 South All-Stars coming away with a 74-62 victory over the North.

Udelhoven, who was 4-of-11 from the field, including 0-for-3 from downtown, chipped in nine points and three assists in the win, while also going 1-of-2 from the free throw line. Langmeier finished with seven points, nine rebounds and four steals, going 3-of-14 from the field, including 1-of-4 from 3-point range. She did not attempt a single free throw.

Also playing for the D5 Red girls’ team was Erin Krachey of Wauzeka, who chipped in 11 points and three steals on 3-of-5 shooting from the field and 3-of-5 from the free throw line as well. From 3-point range she was a perfect 2-for-2.
