CASSVILLE – Still searching for their first conference win early in the season, the Cassville varsity boys basketball team didn’t find it last Friday night against visiting Shullsburg, where the Miners left for home with a 61-44 victory in Six Rivers West conference action.
With the loss, coach Jacob Bernetzke’s squad fell to 0-4 in league play and 1-7 overall, while the Miners improved to 2-1, 4-6.
The Comets were trailing just 30-25 at halftime of last Friday night’s contest, then were outscored 31-19 in the second half.
