Coach Jamie Schmitz’s Hillsboro softball team split a pair of Scenic Bluffs games Monday night.

The Tigers edged visiting Bangor, 7–6, in the opener before dropping the nightcap, 11–3.

No other details of the game were available in time for this week’s paper.

With the split, Hillsboro’s record now stands at 3–5 overall and 3–4 in conference play.

The Tigers’ doubleheader at Royall was rained out last Thursday and will be made up Tuesday, May 14.

Schmitz and her club will have a busy week, beginning with today’s home game with Wonewoc–Center.

Hillsboro will travel to Necedah on Friday for a league doubleheader before traveling to New Lisbon for two games on Monday.
