Bulldogs toppled by Pointers
Preston Baker runs to end zone
THE BULLDOGs offensive guards and tackle were quick to follow and continue blocking pursuing Pointers as Preston Baker made a 69-yard dash toward the endzone with the clock ticking down at the end of the first quarter Friday night.

BOSCOBEL - Small errors can undo the best of plays, a lesson the Boscobel Bulldogs were reminded of at last Friday’s Homecoming match against Mineral Point.

Penalties took a pair of potential touchdown runs by Preston Baker away from the Bulldogs in the first half, including a spectacular 69-yard run down field to the end zone.

“Though we struggled to stop the talented Mineral Point team, we took away so many positives from this game,” said Coach Joey Martin.

While Boscobel was able to recoup and gain two touchdowns and both two-point conversions in the second half, it wasn’t enough to topple the Pointers, leaving the Bulldogs with the loss, 16-51.

“The score looks worse than it really was.  The well-coached Mineral Point team was able to score a couple of touchdowns late in the game to make it look very lopsided,” said the coach. “I was pleased with how we performed for the most part.”

The Bulldogs travel this week to face Cuba City in conference play Friday.

“Cuba City is very talented, especially #7. We have put a really nice game plan together and hope that we can execute on Friday night,” said Coach Martin. “It will be an emotional game as it always is, being the last game for our seniors.”
