BOSCOBEL - The Lady Bulldogs girls’ basketball team notched their third win of the season and first conference victory, 48-38, while on the road for a clash against the Fennimore Golden Eagles last Thursday, Jan. 5.

The Bulldogs were coming off the holiday break, which concerned Coach Jason Hill.  

“I thought we had some pretty competitive practices over break, but when you are going against the same faces everyday it can be hard to tell sometimes,” Coach Hill said. “I was also worried about the height advantage Fennimore had.”

Those concerns were calmed early, even after Fennimore opened with a 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs got things going as Danielle Ernst hit a 3 pointer from the top of the key.  The Bulldogs showed really good team play as several players scored, and in fact built a lead as big as 22-6 and lead at halftime 28-13.
