Iowa–Grant boys finish second at WIAA Division 3 Boscobel Section to earn a berth to State Championships

BOSCOBEL — Iowa–Grant cross country coach Jake Winkler is still riding high three days after his boys’ team earned a berth to the WIAA Division 3 State Championships.

Led by junior standout Nick Connolly and freshman pheonom Mason Aide, the Iowa–Grant boys finished second out of 17 complete teams at Saturday’s WIAA Division 3 Boscobel Sectional to qualify for state.

The Panthers scored 85 points to finish behind only second-ranked Boscobel (70), but 14 points ahead of SWAL rival Darlington (99) for the second and state berth.
