The Lancaster boys and girls track and field teams competed at Dodgeville last Tuesday night in a triangular meet with Platteville and Dodgeville/Mineral Point.

Sophomore Devin Wagner had an impressive showing with first-place finishes in the 100 (:13.37), 200 (:29.2) and the long jump (15’5”).

On the boys side, junior Hunter Liddell placed first in the long jump with a leap of 18’0”.

At last Tuesday night’s North Crawford Invite, the River Ridge girls track and field team finished first of 10 competing teams with 195 points, and the boys placed fourth with 101, as the two combined to win the co-ed traveling trophy with 296 points.

In their first home meet of the 2017 season, the Lancaster boys track and field team placed sixth of 12 teams with 60 points at last Thursday night’s Lancaster Invite, while the Lancaster ladies placed seventh of 12 teams with 48 points.

At last Thursday night’s Cassville Invite, the Cassville girls team placed fifth of seven teams with 58 total points, while the Cassville boys finished seventh of seven teams with eight points.

The River Ridge girls team scored a whopping 198 points to finish first last Thursday night, while the River Ridge boys scored 147 points to finish second.

For the Potosi Chieftains, the boys team placed fifth wit 37 total points, while the girls finished fourth with 66 points.

This past Monday evening, the Chieftains of Potosi competed at the Prairie du Chien Relays, where the girls scored six points and the did not score any amongst a very tough field of competitors.

The top finisher for the Potosi boys squad was Christian Bauer, who placed 10th in the 110 hurdles with a time of :19.05.

On the girls side, Lily Reynolds placed sixth in the 300 hurdles (:54.32), while the 800 sprint medley relay team of Reynolds, Madelyn Kruser, Brittany Horner and Maggie Schmitz placed sixth (2:09.21) as well.
