Matt and Kayla McGowan of Darlington are the parents of a son, Maxton Joseph McGowan, born Sept. 22, 2013 at St. Mary’s in Madison. He weighed 7 lbs., 12 oz. and was 20 inches long.
    Grandparents are Steve and Kitty McGowan of Darlington and Phil and Shelley Spensley of Belmont. Great-grandparents are William Curry of Darlington, Ruth Spensley of Platteville and Clete Russell of Potosi.
