Lynn and Susan Schlager,  Platteville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Schlager, to Brian Clements, son of John Clements and Cathie Chung, Falls Church, Va. 
Emily is a 2008 graduate of Platteville High School and a 2012 graduate of Northland College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art. She is currently a cook, baker and freelance artist in the Washburn area and a member of the Bayfield Artists’ Guild.
Brian is a 2005 graduate of McLean High School in McLean, Va., and a 2009 graduate of Northland College with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science/ecological restoration. He owns Northcroft  Farm, a sustainably managed vegetable and poultry farm near Ashland and is the production manager for Spirit Creek Farm in Cornucopia.
The couple will be united in marriage at the groom’s farm on Sept. 9 with a reception to follow.
