Melissa Metz and Mitch McKillip were married June 23, 2012, in Katie’s Garden, Platteville. The bride wore an Oleg Kassini gown with a satin bodice, organza and beads. Parents of the bride are Michael and Denise Dammen, Darlington, and Thomas and Jan Metz, Janesville. Parents of the groom are Mike and Julie McKillip, Darlington. Flower girl was Lynea Halvorson, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Logan Franz, cousin of the groom. Matron of honor was Megan Halverson, Dodgeville, sister of the bride; maid of honor was Melanie Metz, Rockford, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Heather Mueller, Margaret Kenyon-Schultz, Stephanie Esser and Rose Leahy, all friends of the bride. Best man was Andrew Soper. Groomsmen were Mark and Jake McKillip, brothers of the groom, Christopher Schultz, friend of the bride, Jed Stauffacher, friend of the groom and Michael Franz, cousin of the groom.
The bride is a print and design assistant and web production specialist at Lands’ End, Dodgeville. The groom is the mechanic and lawn care manager at Mike’s Engine Works, Darlington. The couple resides in Dodgeville.
