Platteville has three Mexican restaurants: Los Amigos, 135 E. Main St., Las Palmas, 300 W. Business 151, and Fiesta Cancun, 105 Business 151.

A fourth business now caters to a Mexican audience. Since February, the Cinco de Mayo store and gallery has offered Mexican beer and sodas and other grocery items.

Owners Jorge Melendez and Maria DeEsparza opened Cinco de Mayo, 1350 E. Business 151, to help expand the Hispanic market and to bring more service to customers.

The store is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
