A Coon Valley man has been arrested on multiple counts of physical abuse of a child.

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, Tyrone Barbee, 44, was arrested March 7 following an extensive investigation into allegations of child abuse.

Barbee was released on a $1,000 signature bond March 8.

The Coon Valley Police Department and Vernon County Sheriff’s Office are working together on the investigation.

Vernon County Human Services also assisted in the matter.
