Four convicted after December hit-and-run crash

The driver in a hit-and-run crash, and three people who helped cover up the hit-and-run crash, were convicted of charges in Grant County Circuit Court.

The charges were in connection with a crash that injured Jacob Colson, 19, Lancaster, Dec. 5.

The driver of the car that hit Colson, Daniel J. Udelhoven, 21, Fennimore, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of reckless driving causing great bodily harm May 3.

Grant County Circuit Judge Craig Day sentenced Udelhoven to one year in prison and three years extended supervision. Udelhoven also has to pay $25,000 in restitution to Colson.

Cheryl Walton, 47, Lancaster, pleaded no contest to three counts of obstructing an officer. Walton was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Nicole White, 24, Lancaster, was sentenced to 30 days in jail after she pleaded no contest to one count of obstructing an officer.

Autum Elliott, 17, Lancaster, pleaded no contest to one count of obstructing an officer and was sentenced to two days in jail. Day allowed Elliott expungement.

Walton, White and Elliott were also ordered to pay court costs.
