The woman who was severely burned in the Sept. 7 Argyle house fire is now facing criminal charges herself.

Sharon Wand, 27, faces two charges of criminal trespass to a dwelling and three counts of theft of up to $2,500, all misdemeanors, in two series of Iowa County charges.

A status conference on all five charges is scheduled in Iowa County Circuit Court in Dodgeville Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Wand is accused of stealing items — jewelry, a ceramic figurine and a stuffed animal — from the rooms of residents at Bloomfield Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Facility near Dodgeville around April 4 and May 10, according to court records.

Wand was staying at Bloomfield during her rehabilitation from severe burns suffered in the house fire.

Not-guilty pleas were issued on behalf of Wand June 4. She was released on a $1,000 signature bond.

Wand now is staying at the Lyghthouse rehabilitation facility northwest of Platteville.
