Based on a potential threat against a school administrator, New Lisbon Schools were put into a soft lockdown at approximately 2:10 p.m. Oct. 16.

After an investigation by the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department and the New Lisbon Police Department, a suspect was taken into custody.

Approximately 20 minutes later, at 2:30 p.m., authorities determined that a threat no longer existed, and the lockdown was lifted.

Superintendent Dennis Birr said  that at no time were any students in danger.
