VIROQUA - The Food, Faith and Farming Network is hosting five rural listening and networking sessions in late February and throughout March, 2018 in the Southwest region of Wisconsin.  Farmers, food producers and rural community members that interact with farmers on a personal or professional level are encouraged to attend.

The ‘Cultivating the Future of Farming and Rural Life Gatherings’ will give those attending a chance to share ideas and concerns as well as find supportive resources. Representatives and information from various social service agencies, government and educational providers and local faith communities will be available to share information on building rural-urban connections, providing resources on start-ups, value-adds and transitions. 

At the free and open-to-all sessions, a free, simple farm-to-table meal will be offered by local food caterers Pasture & Plenty, Cow & Quince or Rooted Spoon.

The Food, Faith and Farming Network (formerly Churches’ Center for Land and People) gives voice to the sacred connections between land and people.

The not-for-profit group fosters rural and urban relationships and promotes earth stewardship, community, spirituality and economic justice through healthy food and sustainable farming practices. The organization collaborates with individuals, organizations and faith communities that share a vision of supporting the spiritual integrity of rural life and farming.
