The Platteville Children’s Choir announced that Rochelle Edge agreed to join the program as director of the Music Explorers Choir.

Edge succeeds Jill Hasker, who had initiated the choir in 2007.

Edge is the Vocal Music Teacher in the Belmont Community Schools, beginning there in 2008.  She is a graduate of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

The Music Explorers Choir is a group of 20 singers who rehearse each Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. during the spring months. Rhythm instruments are available and along with movement are used to reinforce and develop music skills. 

Members of the Music Explorers are generally first- or second- graders and are taken on first-come first-served basis without audition.
