The Hillsboro Harvest Challenge team won the “Judge’s Choice Award” at the seventh annual Harvest Challenge Nov. 7 in the gymnasium of Westby Middle/High School.

The team of Jacob Benish, Skyler Fisher, Amy Salisbury and Drew Bisarek prepared and served their Italian barbecued pork sandwich and sweet corn to a panel of seven judges.

Hillsboro was one of six teams involved in the competition; other participating schools were De Soto, Kickapoo, La Farge, Viroqua and Westby.

The team’s trophy is on display in Business Education teacher/FBLA advisor Jessica Hubbard’s room at the high school. Hubbard was one of three staff mentors, along with agriculture teacher/FFA advisor Mollie Collins and Kristine Da Prato.
