Before that, the Platteville Middle School band woke up late-sleeping neighbors with practice for the years first parade, Dairy Days on Main Street Saturday.
Summer ended Tuesday morning not just because of the cool weather, but because of the first day of classes in area schools and at UW–Platteville.
