Johnson Public Library Activities
DARLINGTON – The Johnson Public Library has many events for the public to enjoy. The events for February are: Feb. 8-Passport to Reading Book Club @ 3:45 p.m. (1st & 2nd gr.); Feb. 9-Story Hour @ 10 a.m., Lego Club @ 1:45 p.m. (7-11 yr. olds); Feb. 13-Story ‘n’ Craft Hour @ 10 a.m.; Feb. 13-Twilight Family Story Hour @ 6:30 p.m.-Log Cabin/Laura Ingalls  (families with young children); Feb. 14-Valentine’s Day activities after school; Feb. 16-Story Hour @ 10 a.m., Book Buzz Book Club @ 1:45 p.m. (gr. 3-5).
McCoy Public Library events
SHULLSBURG – McCoy Public Library invites families with children 3 yrs to 5th grade to our Library Laser Tag Family Night on Feb. 8 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This is a free event but you must register at the library before Feb. 6th.  Early Release Movie will be held Feb. 21 at 1:15p.m.
Gratiot Annex Library events
GRATIOT – Gratiot Annex Library will be hosting a Snowman Family Fun Day on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10-11a.m. We will be making a variety of snowmen crafts.  Families with children 3 yrs to 5th grade are invited to this free event.
Lincoln Day Dinner
DARLINGTON – Attorney General Brad Schimel will be the keynote speaker on Feb. 10 at the 2018 Lafayette County Lincoln Day Dinner to be held at the Darlington Country Club. Caucus begins at 11 a.m. followed by meet and greet and luncheon at noon, speakers and auction to follow.
Norwegian Dinner
WIOTA – Wiota Lutheran Youth Organization will be holding a Norwegian Dinner Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Wiota Lutheran Church. The menu includes meatballs, ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, green beans, cheese, coleslaw, buns, Lefse, Norwegian treats & desserts, coffee and milk. Adults are $13, children ages 6-12 are $5, children 5 and under are free. Musical entertainment will take place in the sanctuary.
Gratiot Missions Conference
GRATIOT – Everyone is welcome at the Gratiot Evangelical Free Church on February 11 from 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to worship with music with the Carlson Family from Monroe during their Missions Conference all throughout February.
20th Annual Love Lights
DARLINGTON – The 20th annual Lafayette Manor Auxiliary “Love Lights” can be purchased now through Monday, Feb. 12. For a $3 donation, dedicate a heart in memory or honor of a loved one. The hearts will be placed on a tree in the 2nd floor sunroom. A dedication will take placed Friday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. at the manor. Proceeds will be used to buy items needed to help residents and staff. Lafayette County Sew and Sews
DARLINGTON – The meeting of the Lafayette County Sew and Sews is always the 2nd Monday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Community Room at Town Bank in Darlington. The next meeting will be Feb. 12. Everyone is welcome.
DAR Meeting
MONROE – The Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter of the American Revolution (DAR) will be meeting on Tuesday, Feb.13 at 1:00 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room of the First National Bank on the square in Monroe.  The public is invited to attend the free program on “Faith of Our Mother’s”.  Anyone interested in the DAR in southwest Wisconsin is welcome and we are happy to answer questions regarding membership or activities.
Monroe Memory Café
MONROE – The next Monroe Memory Café will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Blends & Friends Café in the Behring Senior Center. They will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with chocolate and music. The second Wednesday of each month we host a social gathering for individuals with early stage dementia, Alzheimer’s or memory loss and for their family and friends. Community Blood Drive
LAFAYETTE COUNTY - The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center encourages eligible donors to resolve to give blood regularly. Donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types AB, O, B negative and A negative. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at (800) 747-5401. Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour.  Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors. The MVRBC is the exclusive provider to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County.

Darlington FFA Toy Show
DARLINGTON – The Darlington FFA & FFA Alumni Toy Show and Pancake Breakfast will be Sunday, Feb. 18 at the Darlington High School. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Adults are $6, Children 5-12 are $4, children under four are free. Pricing includes admission to the toy show. Toy show runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Coffee Hour
DARLINGTON – **LOCATION CHANGE** Coffee Hour for Caregivers Support Group will be the 4th Tuesday of each month. It will be Feb. 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Johnson Public Library. For family, friends and neighbors who are caring for a person with chronic illness of disability to learn creative problem-solving techniques, share tips, ask questions and find out about resources available.
