Resource fair to showcase Fennimore agencies

elete In an attempt to raise awareness about the resources available for the Fennimore community, a Mini Resource Fair has been scheduled during Come for Supper on Wednesday, Sept. 21, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Fennimore United Methodist Church. The monthly meal is for everyone in the Fennimore Community School District.
    During the evening event, many local agencies and organizations will be present to offer information about their services, community functions and products. There will also be opportunities to sign up for the many programs.
    The Grant County Health Department will be on site to offer blood pressure checks and flu shots. Other entities providing information about their programs will include Social Services, the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Southwest Alliance for Tobacco Prevention, Fennimore Kiwanis, Fennimore Theatre Group, Fennimore Doll and Toy Museum, Monkey Movement, Girl Scouts and Family Connections.
    The Aging and Disability Resource Center will provide free rides to the meal and resource fair. Call 822-6644 to set up a ride.
    The public is encouraged to join in this night of food, fellowship, fun and information.
