Fennimore, WI– The Southwest Tech Foundation is promoting 50 Hours of Giving as part of the college’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.  The 50 Hours of Giving campaign will begin on Thursday, September 21 with a goal of creating 50 new scholarships by the end of the campaign on Saturday, September 23 during the college’s 50th Anniversary Celebration events.

“Financial challenges are one of the biggest factors our students face; for this reason scholarships are the number one fundraising priority of the Southwest Tech Foundation,” said Holly Clendenen, Executive Director of the Southwest Tech Foundation and Real Estate Foundation. “Students come to Southwest Tech to earn a degree to improve their lives and their family’s lives.  During our 50 Hours of Giving campaign every gift – $5, $50 or $500 – will be used to award new scholarships to help students achieve their educational goals.”

The Foundation will kick off the campaign on social media and with an e-mail blast on Thursday. Contributions will be accepted online at www.swtc.edu/foundation/donate-today or by calling the Southwest Tech Foundation at 608-822-2348 to give a gift over the phone.
