Did you know it takes 450 years for plastic pop bottle to decompose? About 40% of our trash is used paper and paper products. 35% of landfills are composed of packaging materials. Even with what organizations are doing today, there is still too much waste. So here is what Wonewoc-Center is doing to help.

On April 29, grades 6-12 are planning to clean up sections of the 400 Trail and the school grounds, in order to raise money for the Juneau County Fair Grounds in Mauston. This walkathon is organized by the 8th Grade Leadership Team. Its goal is to raise $2,000.00 for the fair grounds’ building fund. This event will take place from 1-3:25p.m.
