Lt. Col. Rodney Robert Albert Skattum, 59, of Shullsburg, passed away peacefully at his home on May 16, 2026.

A memorial service will be held Friday, May 29, at 11 a.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 508 Main St., Darlington, with Rev. Han Lee of Darlington United Methodist Church officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by Bates-O’Brien-Howe-Wiegel-Roelli American Legion Post #214 of Darlington.
