State Rep. Lee Nerison (R-Westby) announced Oct. 30 that the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Vernon County Veterans Service Office (CVSO).

These funds will be used to help veterans find the information and resources they need to solve service-related concerns.

“The CVSO is a one-stop shop that connects veterans with the various benefits and resources available to them.  This is an important service for the honorable men and women who served our country,” Nerison said.

The CVSO has all the forms and other information that veterans may need to obtain service from the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of Wisconsin.

The office is located in Suite 100 of the Banta Building, 402 Courthouse Square, Viroqua, and can be reached at (608) 637-5323 or by email at veterans@vernoncounty.org.
