Members of Congress are demanding answers after an investigation by a television station revealed doctors at three VA centers, including the Tomah VA hospital, lacked certifications the hospitals said they had.

U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) told one VA official in a letter that he could understand one or two mistakes about certifications, but this case “demonstrates” a systemic failure at the VA.

KARE 11 News in Minneapolis reported that the Tomah VA hospital and two hospitals in Minnesota have been providing misleading information about their medical professionals. The report indicated the Department of Veterans Affairs has failed to respond to repeated requests for more information.
