Moving Platteville Outdoors $24,000 from trail project goal

The Moving Platteville Outdoors Rountree Trail Project is $24,000 away from the $1.676 million needed for the Rountree Branch trail project.

The Platteville Common Council Tuesday night voted to allot an additional $85,000 to the project — $23,000 from the Robert and Marian Graham Community Fund, and $62,000 from funds originally intended for Municipal Building improvements this year — in addition to using city park improvement fees as a contingency fund in addition to the city'w 

Rule Construction of Dodgeville will start tree-trimming the week of Aug. 17, followed by grading. Fundraising needs to be finished by Saturday to have the fully finished trail as planned.
