Seven hurt in 8081 crash
80-81 crash

TOWN OF PLATTEVILLE — Seven people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Wisconsin 80–81 south of Platteville Friday morning.

Vehicles driven by Margaret Klar, 52, Platteville, and Michelle Beck, 44, Genoa, collided on 80–81 near Knollwood Way around 11 a.m.

Klar and a small child in a safety seat were taken by Med Flight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. Beck and her four passengers — Gary Beck, 48; Kaleb Schulte, 19, and 10- and 14-year-old girls — were taken to Southwest Health by Platteville, Belmont and Cuba City ambulances.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Klar was driving north on 80–81 when she entered the left land and struck Beck’s vehicle.

Platteville firefighters and Platteville police assisted at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
