The Crawford County Fairest Committee is accepting applications for the 2014 Crawford County Fairest and Future Fairest of the Fair.

The Fairest of the Fair will serve as a year-round ambassador for the fair, promoting attendance and sponsorships, as well as encouraging youth involvement. The Future Fairest will assist the Fairest in his/her duties throughout the year.

This program was created to challenge young men and women of Crawford County to expand their social and leadership skills

Fairest applicants must be 18 as of January 1, 2014, and Future Fairest candidates must be 8-15 years old as of May 1, 2014. All applicants must have a genuine interest in promoting the Crawford County Fair. Young men and women are encouraged to apply.

The selected Fairest will receive a $250 cash prize sponsored by the Friends of the Fair at the completion of his/her reign if all requirements are met.

Applications are due Wednesday, Nov. 27. They can be downloaded online at crawfordcountywisconsinfair.com. Interviews will be held Saturday, Dec. 7 at 9 a.m. The Fairest, Future Fairest, and their attendants will be crowned at the 2014 Gala Friday, Jan. 24.
